FAMILY
Father: Jon DeChambeau, a former golf professional who battled diabetes for decades and received a kidney transplant in 2017 from a family friend Bryson reconnected with after his U.S. Amateur win.
Jon passed away in November 2022, a loss Bryson has spoken about emotionally, including dedicating his second U.S. Open win to him.
Mother: Janet Druffel works in sales.
Brother: Garrett Wolford, a former competitive baseball player.
Relationship status: Not married, no confirmed girlfriend as of mid-to-late 2026, despite years of public speculation. He’s been linked at various points to Sophia Phalen Bertolami and, more persistently since 2022, to Lilia Schneider, a former Marian University college golfer and social-media personality who’s been spotted at several of his events since a 2022 LIV Golf Chicago sighting.
Neither relationship has been publicly confirmed by DeChambeau himself; he keeps his personal life notably private for someone with such a large public platform.
TEAM DeCHAMBEAU
Caddie: Greg “G Bo” Bodine has been on the bag since May 2023, after DeChambeau essentially called him out of a golf-industry retirement. Bodine had stepped away from caddying in 2020 (previously worked with Tony Finau from 2014 to 2020) to start Evergreen Golf Club, an indoor golf facility business in Washington state.
Their partnership began at LIV Golf Tulsa/Oklahoma City in May 2023 and has produced real magic since: the 2023 LIV Golf Greenbrier win (capped by a final-round 58, the first sub-60 round in LIV Golf history), a 2023 LIV Golf Chicago win, and the emotional high point of DeChambeau’s second U.S. Open title at Pinehurst in 2024.
Bodine is also the cousin of PGA Tour pros Andrew and Michael Putnam; Michael has occasionally filled in on the bag when Bodine has stepped away for personal/business reasons (as happened briefly in early 2026).
Previous Caddie: Tim Tucker on the bag for all 8 of DeChambeau’s official PGA Tour wins before they split in 2021.
CAREER MOVE
Joined LIV Golf in 2022, reportedly on a $125 million contract, one of the largest in golf history. Serves as team captain of the Crushers GC.

NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS
- Completed a rare amateur double in 2015, winning both the NCAA individual title (SMU) and the U.S. Amateur in the same year, joining Jack Nicklaus, Phil Mickelson, and Tiger Woods as the only golfers to do so
- Known across golf for his radical, science-driven approach: single-length “Ironman” irons, extreme physical transformation to add clubhead speed, and a deeply analytical, physics-first philosophy toward the swing
- Built one of golf’s largest personal media brands: a YouTube channel closing in on 600 million views, featuring trick-shot and “Break 50” course-record content
- Testing next-gen gear ahead of majors, including a 3D-printed prototype iron and new driver models, staying true to his “mad scientist” reputation into 2026
RECENT FORM
A genuinely rough patch on the biggest stages: missed the cut at every major he played through mid-2026, including the 2026 Masters, PGA Championship, and U.S. Open, a sharp contrast to his consistent LIV Golf form, where he’s notched wins in South Africa and Singapore in 2026 and multiple podium finishes (3rd in Indianapolis, United Kingdom, Korea, and Virginia).
His 2026 Open Championship was a rare major bright spot, finishing T14. The gap between his dominant LIV form and his major-championship struggles has become a notable storyline in his 2026 season.
RYDER CUP
3 appearances (2018, 2021, 2025), an overall match record of 3 wins–6 losses–2 ties, including a 1-0-1 record specifically in Four-Ball format
